DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Dow stocks hitting 52 week highs include Disney (DIS), Honeywell (HON) and Nike (NKE). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +92 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +104.09 (+0.35%) at 30,173.88.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +5.73%.

There were 24 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Dow (DOW) 54.55 (+2.52%), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) 151.55 (+1.73%) and 3M (MMM) 172.46 (+1.36%).

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Walgreens (WBA) 41.99 (-1.04%), Boeing (BA) 236.57 (-0.67%) and Home Depot (HD) 261.72 (-0.35%).

The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq on Tuesday all closed at records on optimism around Pfizer’s vaccine rollout in the U.K. and coronavirus stimulus talks in Washington.

The Supreme Court denied a request by Republicans to reverse President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.158 per gallon.
