The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Disney (DIS) 147.13 (-1.31%), Travelers (TRV) 134.44 (-1.16%) and Nike (NKE) 134.25 (-0.95%).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, while set to open down -136 points, remained on track for its best month since January 1987. With one day left in November, the Dow was up nearly 13% for the month.

In fact, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, said Sunday that Christmas and New Year’s restrictions will be necessary to stem to the spread of the virus. Despite the CDC warning against Thanksgiving travel, more than 9 million people took flights before and after the holiday. The U.S. has nearly 13.4 million total confirmed Covid-19 cases.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.127 per gallon.
