The two day FOMC meeting ends today with announcement at 11:00 am PDT.

U.S. consumer spending appeared to slow in August as extended unemployment benefits were cut for millions of Americans, offering more evidence that the economic recovery from the Covid-19 recession is faltering.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down four-tenths of a cent at $2.182 per gallon.
