DJIA Market Happenings For Monday, June 29, 2020

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +110 points.

Friday the Dow was down -730.05 (-2.84%) at 25,015.55.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -12.34%.

There was one Dow stock up Friday.

The Dow stock winner Friday was Cisco (CSCO) +2.41%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) -8.65%, Nike (NKE) -7.62%, JPMorgan (JPM) -5.48%, American Express (AXP) -4.53% and Exxon Mobil (XOM) -3.43%.

The Fed bought $428 million worth of corporate bonds in its first foray into company debt as part of its response to the coronavirus, snapping up debt in household names like Walmart, Coca-Cola, AT&T, and Berkshire Hathaway in the process.

A July cash cliff spells trouble for U.S. unemployed, and everyone else.

Shares of Boeing (BA), which have been slammed over 45% in 2020, were rising more than 3% in Monday’s premarket as reports that pilots and test crew members from the Federal Aviation Administration and the aircraft maker are scheduled to begin a three-day certification test campaign for the 737 Max on Monday.

Nancy Pelosi calls for CDC to mandate Americans wear masks. Yay!!

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up one-tenth of a cent at $2.179 per gallon.

Walgreens (WBA) reports earnings on 7/9/2020 before the market open.
