Friday the Dow was up +829.16 (+3.15%) at 27,110.98.

Year-to-date the Dow is down a mere -5.00%. Pretty remarkable with 30+ million people unemployed and major companies going bankrupt. Basically the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. That’s how The Donald rolls. But wait, The Donald is pushing for payroll tax cuts so guess what, the rich get richer and the poor don’t.

There were 28 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Boeing (BA) +11.47%, Exxon Mobil (XOM) +8.11%, Raytheon Technologies (RTX) +6.75%, Travelers (TRV) +5.39%, Caterpillar (CAT) +4.78% and Chevron (CVX)+4.71%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were Walmart (WMT) -0.45% and Pfizer (PFE) -0.06%.

Lets review the DJIA recent milestone numbers. On 2/12/2020 the Dow made an all-time high of 29,568.57. Then on 3/23/2020 the Dow made it’s 2020 low of 18,213.65. It was 27 trading days from peak to low and 52 trading days from low through Friday. Do you think we can keep these gains when the next quarterly earnings start to roll in?
