Boeing (BA) plans to announce 2,500 voluntary layoffs this week, according to union officials. This would be the first phase of wider job cuts that Boeing has said will amount to about 10% of its workforce.
Disney (DIS) will submit a plan today to Orange County officials for reopening its Walt Disney World resort. Disney needs approval from the county and then from the governor before Walt Disney World can reopen.
Walmart (WMT) has struck a deal with second-hand apparel seller ThredUp, allowing customers to browse ThredUp offerings on its website and get free shipping if they spend $35 or more.
European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.
The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent at $1.964 per gallon.
