Monday the Dow was up +690.70 (+3.19%) at 22,327.48.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -21.76%.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +8.00%, Merck (MRK) +7.28%, Microsoft (MSFT) +7.09%, Intel (INTC) +5.96% and Caterpillar (CAT) +5.95%.

The lone Dow stock loser Monday was Boeing (BA) -6.00%.

There may be a surge in stock buying Tuesday as fund managers rebuild their stock holdings in the final hours of the worst quarter for the Dow since 1987.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down 1.6 cents at $1.997 per gallon.
