Biden scored key primary victories in Virginia, North Carolina, and Arkansas, giving his campaign momentum and increasing his odds of being the Democratic party’s presidential nominee. Tuesday’s primary results also sent health care stocks flying. UnitedHealth (UNH) jumped more than 10%.

The Federal Reserve announced Tuesday an emergency interest rate cut of a half percent.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down eight-tenths of a cent at $2.416 per gallon.
