The two-day FOMC meeting ends today with announcement at 11:00 PST.

Blue chips were in motion on early earnings news, with Dow (DOW) up 4%, McDonald’s (MCD) trading flat and Boeing (BA) up 2.5% higher after delivering results. Apple powered out a 2.9% gain after its strong Q1 report late Tuesday.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down 1 cent at $2.496 per gallon.
