DJIA Market Happenings For Monday, December 16, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL), Goldman Sachs (GS), JPMorgan (JPM), Microsoft (MSFT), Nike (NKE), UnitedHealth (UNH) and United Technologies (UTX). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up 78 points.

Friday the Dow was up +3.33 (+0.01%) at 28,135.38.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +20.61%.

There were 16 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by AMerican Express (AXP) +1.70%, Visa (V) +1.37% and Apple (AAPL) +1.36%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Dow (DOW) -2.15%, Exxon Mobil (XOM) -1.58% and Boeing (BA) -1.33%.

The Dow is getting a boost from Friday’s announcement of a “phase-one” trade deal between the U.S. and China.

Boeing (BA) could disclose as early as Monday a decision on whether to further cut or suspend production of its grounded 737 Max. Boeing shares are down about 3% in the premarket.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down three-tenths of a cent at $2.553 per gallon.
