The Dow Market Happenings For Friday, November 29, 2019

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -59 points.

Wednesday the Dow was up +42.32 (+0.15%) at 28,164.00.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +20.55%.

There were 19 Dow stocks up Wednesday.

The Dow stock winners Wednesday were led by Apple (AAPL) +1.34%, McDonald’s (MCD) +1.18% and Home Depot (HD) +1.01%.

The Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by Boeing (BA) -1.48%, IBM (IBM) -0.98% and Dow (DOW) -0.71%.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday has arrived.

President Trump late Wednesday signed a law that expresses support for Hong Kong protesters, straining relations with a “phase one” China trade deal still not finalized. Beijing accused America of “sinister intentions,” but hasn’t taken any concrete retaliation. The stock market rally, fueled in large part by China trade optimism, set fresh all-time highs Wednesday.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.587 per gallon.
