The Dow Market Happenings For Monday, November 18, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT) and United Technologies (UTX). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -6 points.

Friday the Dow was up +222.93 (+0.80%) at 28,004.89.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +20.05%.

There were 24 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) +5.30%, Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +3.04% and Pfizer (PFE) +2.00%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Disney (DIS) -1.69%, Walmart (WMT) -1.48% and Travelers (TRV) -0.28%.

On Friday, the Dow closed above 28,000 for the first time ever and logged weekly gains for the fourth straight week. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq also set record highs Friday and notched six and seven weeks in a row of gains, respectively.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down three-tenths of a cent at $2.597 per gallon.

Earnings Reports

Cisco (CSCO) reported earnings on 11/13/2019 after the market close of $0.84, beating estimates of $0.826 per share.

Walmart (WMT) reported earnings on 11/14/2019 before the market open of $1.17, beating estimates calling for $1.117 per share.

Home Depot (HD) reports earnings on 11/19/2019 before the market open.
