DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, November 13, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Apple (AAPL), Caterpillar (CAT) and Microsoft (MSFT). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -103 points.

Tuesday the Dow was unchanged at 27,691.49. Seems weird. Data problem?

Year-to-date the Dow is up +18.71%.

There were 16 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Disney (DIS) +1.35%, Merck (MRK) +1.01% and Walgreens (WBA) +0.76%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Exxon Mobil (XOM) -1.38%, Dow (DOW) -1.16% and Caterpillar (CAT) -1.12%.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell goes before the Congressional Joint Economic Committee on Wednesday to talk about the economy, a day after Trump resumed bashing Powell and his fellow central bankers.

House Democrats hold their first public hearing Wednesday, which will be televised, in their Trump impeachment investigation, centering on whether the president pressured Ukraine to probe rival Joe Biden.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down two-tenths of a cent at $2.609 per gallon.
