Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +76 points.

Monday the Dow was up +96.58 (+0.36%) at 26,916.83.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +15.39%.

There were 19 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Apple (AAPL) +2.35%, Nike (NKE) +1.74% and Walgreens (WBA) +1.65%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Exxon Mobil (XOM) -1.22%, Visa (V) -1.14% and Pfizer (PFE) -0.83%.

Apple (AAPL) gained +2.35% Monday after JPMorgan (JPM) raised its price target on the company. The firm now expects the stock to climb 20% over the next 12 months. The bank boosted its price target on the stock to $265 per share from $243.

The best performing stock in the Dow during the third quarter was Procter & Gamble (PG) +13.4% during the third quarter and +35.31% year-to-date. In second place was Apple (AAPL) up +13.2% during the third quarter and +41.99% year-to-date.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up one-tenth of a cent at $2.655 per gallon.
