The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -49 points.

Friday the Dow was down -159.72 (-0.59%) at 26,935.07.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +15.47%.

There were 10 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Merck (MRK) +1.42%, Dow (DOW) +1.20% and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +1.18%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Intel (INTC) -1.65%, Home Depot (HD) -1.51% and Caterpillar (CAT) -1.51%.

The Dow is looking to open lower following weaker-than-expected economic data in Europe and renewed fears about the trade war. Investors are still coming to grips with the latest developments on the US-China trade front, after a Chinese delegation canceled visits to midwestern farms on Friday.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.668 per gallon.
