Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +36 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +38.05 (+0.14%) at 26,835.51.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +15.04%.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Dow (DOW) +4.21%, Boeing (BA) +2.99% and Caterpillar (CAT) +2.39%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by McDonald’s (MCD) -3.49%, Visa (V -2.86% and Disney (DIS) -2.19%.

The nation remembers Sept. 11, 2001, on Wednesday, 18 years after terrorists hijacked four planes and killed 2,983 in New York City, at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and in a Pennsylvania field.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up seven-tenths of a cent at $2.568 per gallon.
