Monday the Dow was up +269.93 (+1.05%) at 25,898.83.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +11.02%.

There were 30 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Nike (NKE) +2.25%, Disney (DIS) +2.23%, Apple (AAPL) +1.90%, Travelers (TRV) +1.80%, Goldman Sachs (GS) +1.76% and Procter & Gamble (PG) +1.70%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were not to be found.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) rose in premarket trading Tuesday after a judge in Oklahoma found the company was responsible for helping fuel the opioid crisis in the state and ordered the healthcare giant to pay $572 million, less than expected.

Russian conglomerate Rostec said a subsidiary, Avia Capital Service filed a lawsuit in the United States to cancel its order for 35 Boeing (BA) 737 MAX jets and wants a cash deposit of $35 million to be returned with interest, along with $75 million in “lost profit” and about $115 million in compensatory damages, plus “several times the amount” in punitive damages.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.585 per gallon.
