The Dow Market Happenings For Friday, June 21, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include American Express (AXP), Merck (MRK), Microsoft (MSFT), Procter & Gamble (PG), Travelers (TRV), Visa (V) and Walmart (WMT). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -62 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +249.17 (+0.94%) at 26,753.17.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +14.69%.

There were 26 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by United Technologies (UTX) +2.58%, Caterpillar (CAT) +2.31% and Cisco (CSCO) +2.28%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) -0.97%, Merck (MRK) -0.89% and Verizon (VZ) -0.50%.

West Texas Intermediate crude is up 0.2% at $57.20 a barrel, and Brent crude is up 0.5% at $64.80.

Gold passed the $1,400 mark on Thursday and dipped by 0.4% to $1,391 an ounce today.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down seven-tenths of a cent at $2.669 per gallon.
