Dow Inc. Replaces DowDuPont

DowDuPont’s materials science division will spin off from its parent company, becoming the so-called “new Dow,” Monday, April 1. Dow Inc. will replace DowDuPont in the Dow Jones Industrial Average before the U.S. stock market opens Tuesday, April 2. Dow common stock will begin “regular-way” trading on the New York Stock Exchange Tuesday under the symbol “DOW,” according to a company news release issued earlier this month. Also on April 2, Dow Inc. will join Standard & Poor’s 500 Index, replacing life insurance company Brighthouse Financial.
