DJIA Market Happenings For Wednesday, March 20, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Microsoft (MSFT) and Nike (NKE). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -17 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -26.72 (-0.10%) at 25,887.38.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +10.97%.

There were 15 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Pfizer (PFE) +1.17%, Walgreens (WBA) +1.09% and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +0.93%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Disney (DIS) -2.76%, Travelers (TRV) -1.49% and Verizon (VZ) -0.98%.

The Fed two-day policy meeting ends today with news about 11:00 am PDT.

Disney (DIS) closes on its $71 billion deal for 21st Century Fox. The deal gives Disney content like ”The Simpsons” and “Spider-Man” for when it launches its streaming-video service.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 2.3 cents at $2.581 per gallon.

Nike (NKE) reports earnings on 3/21/2019 after the market close.
