DJIA Market Happenings For Thursday, March 14, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Procter & Gamble (PG) and Visa (V). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -50 points.

Wednesday the Dow was up +148.23 (+0.58%) at 25,702.89.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +10.18%.

There were 28 Dow stocks up Wednesday.

The Dow stock winners Wednesday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) +2.59%, United Technologies (UTX) +1.58% and American Express (AXP) +1.55%.

The Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by Home Depot (HD) -0.82% and Disney (DIS) -0.56%.

China’s data dump was disappointing. China’s unemployment rate jumped from 4.9% in December to 5.3% in February as industrial output rose 5.3% year-over-year, its slowest pace in 17 years.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.2 cents at $2.522 per gallon.
