The Dow Market Happenings For Wednesday, March 13, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Procter & Gamble (PG) and Visa (V). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +94 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -96.22 (-0.38%) at 25,554.66.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +9.55%.

There were 19 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Apple (AAPL) +1.12%, UnitedHealth (UNH) +1.12% and Home Depot (HD) +0.86%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Boeing (BA) -6.15%, United Technologies (UTX) -1.06% and 3M (MMM) -0.63%.

Boeing (BA) has lost $40 billion of market value this month. Shares have sunk nearly 15% from their March 1 close, with 11% of that coming after Sunday’s Ethiopian Airlines disaster, the second crash involving a Boeing 737 Max 8 in five months. Boeing says it has “full confidence in the safety of the 737 MAX” and the FAA continues to let it fly the skies.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.8 cents at $2.510 per gallon.
