Apple (AAPL) sets the date for its next event. The tech giant has sent out invitations for an event on March 25 at the Steve Jobs Theater on its Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, where it’s likely to introduce its streaming-video service.
Boeing (BA) slides as more countries suspend 737 Max 8 flights. Shares of the plane maker were down about 2% ahead of Tuesday’s opening bell after Australia and Singapore became the latest countries to ground the 737 Max 8 planes. Boeing’s stock fell 5.3% on Monday.
Coca-Cola (KO) was downgraded to “hold” from “buy” at HSBC, citing a number of margin pressures and noting that the traditional 50-50 profit split with bottlers hails from a very different era for the company.
Microsoft MSFT) sued Taiwan’s Foxconn for allegedly failing to make manufacturing royalty payments. Foxconn responded by saying that as a contract manufacturer, it has never had to pay royalties for using Microsoft software.
UnitedHealth (UNH) is changing how it handles rebates from drug makers, requiring future new employer clients to pass those rebates onto patients who take the medications.
European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up 1.3 cents at $2.492 per gallon.
