The Dow Market Happenings For Wednesday, February 27, 2019

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Merck (MRK) and Nike (NKE). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -66 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -33.97 (-0.13%) at 26,057.98.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +11.71%.

There were 16 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Cisco (CSCO) +0.77%, Nike (NKE) +0.74% and Microsoft (MSFT) +0.69%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) -2.43%, Home Depot (HD) -0.88% and United Technologies (UTX) -0.84%.

Tensions are flaring between India and Pakistan. Pakistan’s civilian aviation authority closed its airspace after shooting down two Indian jets it says crossed into its side of the disputed Kashmir region.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up six-tenths of a cent at $2.405 per gallon.
