Thursday the Dow was up +122.80 (+0.51%) at 24,001.92.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +2.36%.

The Dow made it out of the correction zone yesterday.

Brazil approved a Boeing-Embraer joint venture of the Brazilian firm’s commercial aircraft division. Boeing (BA) will pay Embraer $4.2 billion for an 80% stake.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up eight-tenths of a cent at $2.243 per gallon.
