The Dow Market Happenings For Thursday, December 27, 2018

There are no Dow stocks at 52 week highs. Dow stock 52 week lows include Boeing (BA), Chevron (CVX), DowDuPont (DWDP), Goldman Sachs (GS), IBM (IBM), JPMorgan (JPM), 3M (MMM), Travelers (TRV), United Technologies and Exxon Mobil (XOM). That’s ten (10) Dow stocks with new intraday lows, however all closed higher by 3 to 6%.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -339 points.

Wednesday the Dow was up +1086.25 (+4.98%) at 22,878.45.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -7.45%.

There were 30 Dow stocks up Wednesday.

The Dow stock winners Wednesday were led by Nike (NKE) +7.21%, Apple (AAPL) +7.04%, Visa (V) +6.98%, Microsoft (MSFT) +6.83%, Boeing (BA) +6.72%, Caterpillar (CAT) +6.68%, Home Depot (HD) +6.41%, DowDuPont (HD) +6.41%, Chevron (CVX) +6.34% and Intel (INTC) +5.96%.

The Dow stock losers Wednesday were not to be found.

Looks like the end-of-year sellers want to take advantage of yesterdays gift.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down 1.3 cents at $2.297 per gallon.
