DJIA Market Happenings For Monday, December 3, 2018

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Merck (MRK), Pfizer (PFE) and Walgreens (WBA). Dow stock 52 week lows include Goldman Sachs (GS).

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +433 points.

Friday the Dow was up +199.62 (+0.79%) at 25,538.46.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +3.31%.

There were 24 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Intel (INTC) +3.38%, Coca Cola (KO) +2.90% and Home Depot (HD) +2.65%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) -2.13%, Disney (DIS) -0.96% and Apple (AAPL) -0.54%.

Caterpillar (CAT +4.18%) was upgraded to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch with a price target of $163.

U.S. stocks are poised to rally after the U.S. and China called a truce to their trade war over the weekend, triggering relief buying of perceived riskier assets such as equities. Oil prices climbed nearly 5%, while the dollar tumbled.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down eight-tenths of a cent at $2.459 per gallon.
