International Business Machines (IBM -0.75%) was upgraded to ‘Buy’ from ‘Hold’ at UBS with a price target of $180.
Nike (NKE +0.62%) slid more than 3% in premarket trading after it reported Q1 gross margin of +44.2%, below consensus of +44.3%. Nike’s earnings rose 17.5% to 67 cents a share in the fiscal first quarter while sales grew 10% to $9.95 billion.
The Fed today concludes it’s FOMC meeting where the market is expecting a 25 bp rate hike in the fed funds rate target.
European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended higher.
The national average price of gasoline is up 1.1 cents at $2.867 per gallon.
