Apple (AAPL -0.27%) is down 2% in premarket trading after the Nikkei reported that Apple told its supply chain to prepare for -20% fewer components for iPhones debuting in the second half of this year compared with last year’s orders.
European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.
The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.934 per gallon.
