DJIA Market Happenings For Friday, March 9, 2018

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Intel (INTC). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +159 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +93.85 (+0.38%) at 24,895.21.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +0.33%.

There were 25 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) +2.34% and Pfizer (PFE) +1.59%

The Dow stock losers Thursday were IBM (IBM) -1.33%and Intel (INTC) -1.13%.

The Labor Department said 313,000 jobs were added last month, the most since October 2015 and the 89th straight month of gains, a record. Economists had anticipated a gain of about 200,000.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenths of a cent at $2.534 per gallon.
