The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +57 points.

Monday the Dow was up +56.87 (+0.23%) at 24,386.03.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +23.39%.

There were 19 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by Disney (DIS) +2.49% and Apple (AAPL) +1.95%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Boeing (BA) -0.96% and Home Depot (HD) -0.63%.

The Fed meets Tuesday and Wednesday and is expected to raise rates.

Boeing (BA -0.96%) gained over 1% in after-hours trading after it boosted its dividend by 20% to $1.71 a share from $1.42 a share and authorized a new $18 billion stock buyback plan to replace the $14 billion program they put in place a year ago.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.456 per gallon.
