DJIA Market Happenings For Monday, November 20, 2017

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +14 points.

Friday the Dow was down -100.12 (-0.43%) at 23,358.24.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +18.19%.

There were 7 Dow stocks up Friday.

The Dow stock winners Friday were led by Nike (NKE) +3.42% and Verizon (VZ) +1.45%.

The Dow stock losers Friday were led by Intel (INTC) -2.23% and Wal-Mart (WMT) -2.16%.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ -0.63%) said patients treated with its Invokana for type 2 diabetes had a 43% reduced risk for all-cause mortality and hospitalization for heart failure after an average of 1.6 years, compared to similar patients treated with a non-SGLT2i medication.

Verizon (VZ +1.45%) was upgraded to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Market Perform’ at Wells Fargo Securities with a target price of $50.

Wal-Mart (WMT -2.16%) was downgraded to ‘Neutral’ from ‘Buy’ at Goldman Sachs.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down two-tenths of a cent at $2.542 per gallon.
