Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -16 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +23.89 (+0.11%) at 22,405.09.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +14.57%.

There were 24 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Verizon (VZ) +0.77% and American Express (AXP) +0.98%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Nike (NKE) -0.77% and Microsoft (MSFT) -0.47%.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down nine-tenths of a cent at $2.534 per gallon.

Nike (NKE) reported earnings on 9/26/17 after the market close of $0.57, beating estimates calling for $0.515 per share.

JPMorgan (JPM) reports earnings on 10/12/2017 before the market open.
