Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -83 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +196.14 (+0.90%) at 21,899.89.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +10.81%.

There were 26 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) +1.95% and Cisco (CSCO) +1.92%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Intel (INTC) -0.77% and Coca Cola (KO) -0.18%.

Chevron (CVX) CEO John Watson, who has led Chevron since 2010, is planning to step down as the company seeks a new chief executive officer.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.
