Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -83 points.

Tuesday the Dow was up +196.14 (+0.90%) at 21,899.89.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +10.81%.

There were 26 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Caterpillar (CAT) +1.95% and Cisco (CSCO) +1.92%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Intel (INTC) -0.77% and Coca Cola (KO) -0.18%.

All 30 of the Dow stocks are trading sideways. Which way will they break?

Chevron (CVX) CEO John Watson, who has led Chevron since 2010, is planning to step down as the company seeks a new chief executive officer.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up seven-tenths of a cent at $2.344 per gallon.
