Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -38 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +85.54 (+0.39%) at 21,796.55.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +10.29%.

U.S. gross domestic product increased 2.6 percent in the second quarter, meeting expectations. Last quarter’s growth rate came in at 1.4 percent. The economy grew at a 2.1 percent pace in the fourth quarter of 2016.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.1 cents at $2.298 per gallon.
