DJIA Market Happenings For Friday, June 23, 2017

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), UniteHealth (UNH) and United Technologies (UTX). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -16 points.

Thursday the Dow was down -12.74 (-0.06%) at 21,397.29.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +8.27%.

There were 13 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Merck (MRK) +0.86% and UnitedHealth (UNH) +0.85%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) -1.22% and Wal-Mart (WMT) -0.94%.

Caterpillar (CAT +0.36%) slid over 1% in premarket trading after it was downgraded to ‘Hold’ from ‘Buy’ at Deutsche Bank.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down four-tenths of a cent at $2.276 per gallon.
