The Dow Market Happenings For Wednesday, May 31, 2017

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include McDonald’s (MCD). 3M (MMM) and Microsoft (MSFT). There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -31 points.

Tuesday the Dow was down -50.81 (-0.24%) at 21,029.47.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +6.41%.

There were 14 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Verizon (VZ) +1.94% and 3M (MMM) +0.88%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) -1.96% and JPMorgan (JPM) -1.71%.

Exxon Mobil (XOM) has stepped up efforts to persuade investors to vote against climate-related proposals at Wednesday’s annual meeting.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up four-tenths of a cent at $2.372 per gallon.
