The Dow Market Happenings For Thursday, March 30, 2017

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -13 points.

Wednesday the Dow was down -42.18 (-0.20%) at 20,659.32.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +4.54%.

There were 12 Dow stocks up Wednesday.

The Dow stock winners Wednesday were led by Chevron (CVX) +0.84% and Wal-Mart (WMT) +0.60%.

The Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) -1.16% and Travelers (TRV) -1.04%.

Gross domestic product increased at a 2.1 percent annualized rate instead of the previously reported 1.9 percent pace, the Commerce Department said on Thursday in its third GDP estimate for the period.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up 1.4 cents at $2.305 per gallon.
