ADP / Moody’s employment report shows the private sector surged by 298,000 for the month, with goods producers adding 106,000. Construction jobs swelled by 66,000 and manufacturing added 32,000. The total broke market expectations of 190,000.
European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.
The national average price of gasoline is down one-tenth of a cent at $2.306 per gallon.
