DJIA Market Happenings For Friday, September 16, 2016

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Intel (INTC).There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open down -36 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +177.71 (+0.99%) at 18,212.48.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +3.50%.

All 30 Dow stocks were up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Apple (APPL) +3.40%, Intel (INTC) +2.64%, Merck (MRK) +1.68%, Microsoft (MSFT) +1.65% and UnitedHealth (UNH) +1.44%..

There were no Dow stock losers Thursday.

The consumer-price index climbed 0.2 percent after being little changed the previous month. The median estimate of economists was for a 0.1 percent advance. Excluding volatile food and fuel costs, the so-called core measure rose a bigger-than-forecast 0.3 percent from a month earlier.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up one-tenth of a cent at $2.183 per gallon.
