DJIA Market Happenings For Friday, July 15, 2016

Dow stocks at 52 week highs include Cisco (CSCO), Chevron (CVX), General Electric (GE), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), 3M (MMM), Pfizer (PFE), Procter & Gamble (PG) and Exxon Mobil (XOM).There are no Dow stock 52 week lows.

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +28 points.

Thursday the Dow was up +134.29 (+0.73%) at 18,506.41.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +5.44%.

There were 26 Dow stocks up Thursday.

The Dow stock winners Thursday were led by Goldman Sachs (GS) +2.93% and Apple (AAPL) +1.98%.

The Dow stock losers Thursday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) -0.45% and Verizon (VZ) -0.29%.

Consumer prices increased 0.2 percent last month, matching the uptick in May. Prices are up 1 percent from a year ago, well below the Federal Reserve’s 2 percent inflation target.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up three-tenths of a cent at $2.220 per gallon.
