U.S. gross domestic product was revised up to a 1.1 percent annual rate, rather than the 0.8 percent pace reported last month.

Travelers Cos. (TRV -0.60%) was upgraded to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch with a price target of $127.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down seven-tenths of a cent at $2.300 per gallon.
