The Dow Market Happenings For Wednesday, April 13, 2016

The Market

Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +90 points.

Tuesday the Dow was UP +164.84 (+0.94%) AT 17,721.25.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +1.70%.

All 30 Dow stocks were up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Chevron (CVX) +2.38%, Wal-Mart (WMT) +2.08%, Caterpillar (CAT) +1.97% and JPMorgan (JPM) +1.86%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by Nike (NKE) -2.52% and Pfizer (PFE) -1.88%.

JPMorgan Chase (JPM +1.86%) is up nearly 2% in premarket trading after it reported Q1 adjusted EPS of $1.41, higher than consensus of $1.25.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up 2.4 cents at $2.081 per gallon.
