Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +23 points.

Monday the Dow was up +19.66 (+0.11%) at 17,535.39.

Year-to-date the Dow is up +0.63%.

There were 14 Dow stocks up Monday.

The Dow stock winners Monday were led by General Electric (GE) +1.22% and 3M (MMM) +1.11%.

The Dow stock losers Monday were led by Microsoft (MSFT) -1.24% and Pfizer (PFE) -1.00%.

The U.S. Justice Department will withdraw legal action against Apple (AAPL -0.45%) after it said it successfully gained access to the data on the iPhone used by a man in the San Bernadino, CA, terrorism attack.

European stocks are mostly lower and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is up two-tenth of a cent at $2.041 per gallon.
