Wednesday the Dow was up +183.12 (+1.13%) at 16,336.66.

Cisco (CSCO +1.18%) slid nearly 1% in after-hours trading after it said it will acquire Jasper Technologies for $1.4 billion in cash and assumed equity awards.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended mostly higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down a penny at $1.773 per gallon.
