Premarket today, the Dow was indicated to open up +100 points.

Tuesday, the Dow was up +156.41 (+0.90%) at 17,524.91.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -1.67%.

There were 25 Dow stocks up Tuesday.

The Dow stock winners Tuesday were led by Exxon Mobil (XOM) +4.47% and Chevron (CVX) +3.64%.

The Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by 3M (MMM) -6.03% and Dupont (DD) -2.09%.

The Fed ends its 2-day meeting.

Chevron (CVX +3.84%) was raised to ‘Buy’ from ‘Hold’ at Argus Research.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is down two-tenths of a cent at $2.011 per gallon.
