Intel (INTC -0.53%) slid nearly 3% in premarket trading after it reported Q3 EPS of 64 cents, better than consensus of 59 cents, but then projected a slowdown in corporate server demand as businesses scale back capital spending plans.

JPMorgan Chase (JPM -0.28%) fell over 1% in premarket trading after it reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.29, below consensus of $1.38.

One time Dow stock Bank of America (BAC unch) reported Q3 EPS of 35 cents, higher than consensus of 33 cents.

European stocks are lower and Asian markets ended lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.303 per gallon. Gas was $3.20 per gallon at the local Gig Harbor Costco.
