Dow stock losers Tuesday were led by UnitedHealth (UNH) -3.01% and Merck (MRK) -3.79%.

Exxon-Mobile (XOM +1.41%) is up over 1% in premarket trading as the price of crude oil rose to a 5-week high.

European stocks are higher and Asian markets ended higher.

The national average price of gasoline is up seven-tenths of a cent at $2.297 per gallon.
