Wednesday, the Dow was up +140.10 (+0.84%) at 16,739.95.

The FOMC is scheduled to announce its policy decision at 2:00 p.m. ET, while the Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen will hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. ET.

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mostly lower.

The national average price of gasoline is down six-tenths of a cent at $2.302 per gallon. Gas is $2.36 per gallon at the local Gig Harbor Costco.
