Wednesday, the Dow was down -127.94 (-0.73%) at 17,440.59.

Year-to-date the Dow is down -0.40%.

Dow stock winners Wednesday were led by Microsoft (MSFT) +2.10% and Merck (MRK) +1.77%.

Dow stock losers Wednesday were led by Dupont (DD) -0.79% and Caterpillar (CAT) -0.58%.

Procter & Gamble (PG +0.49%) reporte earnings of 1.00 vs 0.95 consensus,

European stocks are mostly higher and Asian markets ended mixed.

The national average price of gasoline is down 1.2 cents at $2.674 per gallon.
